to tell you the truth
i have never once felt like someone's equal. my judgement sits like a seesaw, power or indebtedness teetering on whichever side swings high or low. yes, i say, this is how it must be. must be. i don't think there has ever been a relationship in my life in which i have not felt that i am either superior to the other or that i am their inferior. break the plank that keeps us swinging between sky and earth and bring me my middle ground, Lord. put our feet and our heads on the ground, Lord
